In college, friendships form from a wide range of shared social activities.
Single adults enjoy friendship as a means of sharing common goals, hopes, and dreams, encouraging each other to strive to achieve more than they might otherwise.
Married adults often spend time with other couples, so that the pleasure and enjoyment of the couple is multiplied without losing the comfort that couplehood provides.
But friendships between married adults still only form when the two seem to share a common worldview.
