2. Have a Favorite (Very Obscure) Band!
Here's how!
Go to one of those precious little indie rock stores where the "tunes" are limited to precious little indie rock bands, chosen by an arcane but not inscrutable coolness criteria, generally reached by multiplying the number of artist's CD releases X the inverse of artist's 7" releases X circulation of first zine to slobber over them X promo units distributed to Rolling Stone reviewers (lower is better; zero is best.) Pick a band at random, preferrably one that broke up a while ago.
