Is Keyes doing poorly BECAUSE of "The Media," or are they ignoring him because of his lack of support? This is what I was eager to find out when I attended the first couple of speaking engagements he had scheduled in Southern California; but he was a no-show at both of them due to a flight delay. I was the only journalist at both of these events (or as it turned out, NON-events) which served as PROOF of the media black-out theory that his supporters so firmly believe in.

Everyone present was clearly disappointed by Keyes's absence, although one fund-raiser went on without him. While the speeches wore on, one of Keyes's supporters, an Arizonan named Jim Phillips, told me an unbelievable story about how FOX CableNews wouldn't allow Matt Drudge to show a videotape of a 21-week-old fetus reaching out and grabbing a doctor's hand during surgery. So he quit the show! Matt Drudge: Mr. Integrity. Who knew?!?
