Meanwhile, the once pumped-up Hagelin camp is now noticeably running out of steam. In spite of their best efforts, they can't seem to dissociate Buchanan from the Reform Party in the public's eye, and as a result their rhetoric becomes less pro-Hagelin and more anti-Buchanan. In other words, they're starting to sound like a bunch of whiney LOSERS.
They also blew a golden opportunity of one-upping Buchanan's vice presidential pick by nominating a Black Woman VP of their own in the form of Dr. Fulani. The press would have undoubtedly had a FIELD DAY comparing and contrasting these two charismatic "soul sisters," who, whatever the color of their skin, disagree on almost every major issue! They may have even pushed for a televised debate between the two, which would have brought some much-needed public attention BACK to the Reform Party in general.
But instead of showing any imagination at all the Hagelinites totally copped out by going with this boring Silicon Valley millionaire (and TM practitioner) named Nat Goldhaber whom one delegate introduced as "another Ross Perot," in obvious reference to his sizable bank account. BLECHHH!!!
