 Outside the prison, protest over the Chahine execution mounts. Tempers have flared as anti-death penalty groups have been unable to make themselves heard above the chanting of Titanic fans calling for Chahine's death.
The usual anti-death penalty celebrity contingent
has been strangely absent from the Chahine vigil.
